I had a great swim today and beat some of my times that I have been loosely recording on my swimming. Not that I have the same passion for swimming that I have for running, but I enjoyed the fact that I have been getting faster in the pool. I even attempted to do a flip turn and although I looked like a sick walrus at flip time, I didn't get water up my nose.
I am not sure what I will be able to do Thursday and Friday for working out at lunchtime but we will see.

I have tried to do that flip turn thing - I usually end up facing the wrong way and half drowned!
Great that the lap times are getting faster!
I have been sticking to the swimming as well. My pool is too small to attempt a flip turn. I haven't tried one in years.
This morning I could feel my last swim with each stroke in my triceps.
I'm digging the cross-training.
My first few flip turns were really ugly. Now most of them are OK as long as I don't have a pull buoy. If you want to improve your flip turns, check out this article:

I never thought that flip turns were useful for triathletes but now know better!
