Running Late!

Sorry everyone! Yesterday was a rather bizarre day.

Is it cold where you are? Remember to layer for warmth AND for comfort! Take care of yourselves as you go out and run or walk!

Report your run mileage in the comments.

Catch you on the run!

Goose Egg for me. I couldn't bear the Hilton Treadmill on Friday, Saturday was Jet Lag day and I've been fighting a cold.

My training for the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon officially begins tomorrow, so this should be the last goose egg weekend for me for a long time.

I actually snuck out Friday in the 40 deg temps and ran up and down the street for 32 minutes - I am going to estimate I ran about 2 miles since I was running slowly and up and down a hill - my first post Goofy run!

Okay Friday I did 4.89 and today I did 2.50 Yippee

I ran 9.2 miles on Saturday. In that total was the "Season's 52" 5.2K race. Lot's of fun, lot's of runners over 2,400. We have been cold here in Florida, but it is getting back to normal. The Breast Cancer half-marathon is 3 weeks from today, February 15th.

6 mi for me on the tready Saturday eve. And, yes, it has been "cold" in Central FL. Had 5(!) layers on while working a race Sat morning in 40-deg weather. Ay-yi-yi!

Tammy said...

LOL Shirley how you move with all those layers? (40 degrees is warm for me, I hope I handle the hot weather when it comes)

Well, actually there is not much moving for me when I work races, exc. for my fingers. My job is primarily sitting down and entering data to get all those folks who sign up on race day entered into our computer. I wish I could wear gloves when typing ... but at least the rest of me stayed pretty warm with all those layers on :-)

I did 13.1 yesterday in 18 degree weather. Holy FREEZING! I wish I knew how to layer better.

Both Maddy, Marathon Chris and her husband ran both the half and the full as the WDW Goofy Challenge, but we only count one run over a weekend (Friday, Saturday or a Sunday). That is why they only got credit for the longest run.

The initial program is over now. We can change the rules to include all runs over a weekend -or- all runs made over any period of time (like a week, a month or even a running total for a year).

It is up to us. It is also a new year. What does everybody think?

Sorry so late guys. Net connection pretty poor right now. Only managed 3 miles last weekend. Crazy snow kept me from getting out.
