VRR Runs weekend of 4/4-6

So this weekend was the first group run by Virtual Runners Rock (VRR), a small group of us participating in the Run the World campaign mentioned below. In case some folks are not using Buckeye Outdoors, and to avoid having to study everyone's training logs, please just post your group run mileages in the comments. Again, if you ran more than once this weekend, just post the mileage for your longest run :-) Feel free to include any details you want about your run too!!

And if you want to join VRR, just let us know. We're shooting to run 100 miles/month and can use a couple more people in case one of us misses a run for some reason.

I ran 6.7 miles this weekend after a 2.5 hour bike ride. The tri club's bike/run brick workout called for only a 45 min run but I ended up going for an hour just to make sure I got in my share so we can make our 100 mi/month goal. This group run thing is motivating!

I ran 10 miles yesterday for my contribution to the group run.

The weather was terrible and I ran those 10 on the treadmill.

I agree Shirley, the group run was enough to keep me going when I felt like stopping early on.

Yikes...were we supposed to start this weekend...sigh...

Perhaps I can count my run today (first run since the 10K), I can't even tell you how far I ran - I did a "zen" run today. I ran, took pictures, walked and even sat on the grass by a tree and just relaxed. I did all that in 48 minutes. I would estimate that I actually ran about 3.5 miles or so.

Otherwise - I will have to make my first contribution next week

No worries, Chris! We've got three more weekends left in April and one of them is a marathon for me :-)

I know Jade Lady ran and just sent her a note get her to post her miles.

Oh, gosh, sorry I didn't post earlier - I ran and walked 6.25 miles on Friday. For some reason, I had a really tough time doing this mileage - seems like it takes me quite some time to warm up. Once I got to mile 3 and 4, the time went much faster. The gym is my friend, when the pollen is out, and believe me, it's out in full force right now!

Woohoo! 29.45 miles run on our first weekend!! Great job everyone. We'll get Chris' miles added next week and be well on our way to meeting the 100-mile/month mark.
